K.D. Van Brunt
I was raised in Southern CA and Seattle and came east to Boston to go to school, before drifting down to Wash, DC for work. I now live in Maryland, work in DC, and write in whatever Starbucks I can find nearby. What time I have when not writing, working or reading, I like to cook and hang out with my standard poodle, Buffy. I like fast cars, hockey, long drives and hiking. Short term goal: finish my trilogy. Long term goal: support myself writing.
Sarah Vance-Tompkins received an MFA in Film Production from USC School of Cinema-Television and worked in feature film development in Hollywood for 10 years. She has worked in journalism and marketing. She currently works as a social media strategist. Her first full-length New Adult romance novel will be published by Swoon Romance in April 2016.
Dax Varley writes the kinds of young adult novels she wishes were around when she was a teen. She's the author of SLEEPY HOLLOW, RETURN TO SLEEPY HOLLOW, BLEED, and NIGHTMARE HOUSE. She loves humor, horror and all things paranormal. When Dax isn't writing, she's collecting odd photos online, reading recaps of her favorite shows, or kicked back with a good book. She lives in Richmond, Texas with her husband, a shelf full of action figures, and about a dozen imaginary friends.
IRENE VARTANOFF started writing comic books and reading romance as a teenager. Combining interests, she has worked for Marvel Comics, DC Comics, MyRomanceStory.com, Harlequin, Bantam, and Berkley. Her first superhero action novel, TEMPORARY SUPERHEROINE, and her first sweet contemporary romance, CAPTIVE OF THE CATTLE BARON, both were published in 2015. More coming!

M.D. WATERS lives with her family in Maryland. When she isn’t snuggling with contractions, abusing her muse, or random dancing, she writes science fiction thrillers for Dutton Books. Her first novel, ARCHETYPE, was nominated for a RT Reviewers’ Choice award, on the Texas Library Association’s 2015 Lariat Reading List, listed on Popsugar.com’s The Best Books of 2014, and voted “Best Sex” by the A.V. Club’s Pages Most Likely to Succeed: Our Favorite Books of 2014 (so far). Her other works, ANTITYPE & PROTOTYPE, are available now.
As a child, I preferred staying in my room to read and write over going outside like normal kids. My imagination took me places no one has ever been before. I currently write MG/YA contemporary fiction with hopes of eventually becoming a published author. I am an educator, which has allowed me to not only teach in the US, but in Abu Dhabi (near Dubai), UAE as well. What an experience! I now live in Houston, Texas (where I was raised) after living abroad for four years.
Kimber Leigh Wheaton
Kimber Leigh Wheaton is married to her soul mate, has a teenage son, and shares her home with three dogs and four cats. No, she doesn’t live on a farm, she just loves animals. She's addicted to romance, videogames, superheroes, villains, and chocolate—not necessarily in that order. (If she has to choose, she’ll take a chocolate covered superhero!) Her debut novel, Shadow Fire, is the first book in the Light Chronicles series. Book two, Stolen Moon, a standalone sequel, is coming in August 2014.
Do you believe in magic? I do. Words have the ability to conjure magical worlds that can whisk us away from our everyday lives. There is magic everywhere, you just have to look. I am originally from sunny Southern California but now call Nashville, Tennessee home with my husband, daughter and our three fur-kids (dogs).
Several years ago, Stephanie left a job in software engineering. Now she writes YA instead of HTML and Java. When not writing, she's reading, burning something on the stove, or plotting a return to Comic-Con. Her young adult paranormal FOLLOWING YOU (previously titled THE MATTER OF SOULS) was a finalist manuscript in the 2012 Golden Heart® contest. Her story DO NOT MACHINE WASH appears in CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL: I CAN’T BELIEVE MY DOG DID THAT!
DARCY WOODS has held an eclectic mix of professions—from refueling helicopters for the U.S. Army to recharging bodies and spirits at a spa—but her most beloved career is being an author. She is addicted to happily-ever-after endings and finds all things metaphysical endlessly fascinating. She lives in Michigan with her husband and two tuxedo cats (who overdress for everything). The Golden Heart® Award–winning Summer of Supernovas is her first novel and has been translated into five languages. Represented by Catherine Drayton of InkWell.
A librarian/archivist who also studied dress design in the couture houses of Paris, Sharon is a six-time RWA Golden Heart Romantic Suspense author repped by Deidre Knight of The Knight Agency. As she waits for the "Call", Sharon writes stories of adventure, suspense and love and blogs at some of her favorite romance sites. In her spare time, she snaps endless photos of her family and her garden while negotiating backyard territory rights with her dog Donut. Sharon lives in Northern Virginia with her three biggest supporters - her amazing husband and twin teenagers.
