C.M. McCoy is an Irish dancer, PR intern at a large literary agency, and former military officer, living in the Great White North. For 6 years, she's run the nation-wide Totem Head's Writing Contest for Kids. Though B.S.'d in Chemical Engineering and German, she's far happier writing stories involving Alaska and a body bag (with an awkward kiss in the mix.) As a 911 call-taker and emergency dispatcher for Alaska State Troopers, she became well-acquainted with the heroes in blue as well as the darker side of humanity, and she regularly leverages her experience and contacts with law enforcement in her writing. Colleen S. Myers was raised in a large catholic family in the outskirts of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she grew up on Harlequin teen romances and stories from her mother’s days as a paramedic. She went on to attend Allegheny College majoring in Biology and English. After college, Colleen spent a year in service in the Americorp giving back to the community at a local Pittsburgh Women Infants and Children Clinic (WICC) before attending Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine on a military scholarship. She is active in the Texas Library Association and has served on several committees as well as running a booth to PROMOTE book festivals and authors across Texas. Tabatha was a committee member of the Montgomery County Teen Book Festival for four years before becoming the President of the new Montgomery County Book Festival in 2012 and was instrumental in the transition of the festival to non-profit organization that promotes the love of reading and literacy in Montgomery County, TX.
